Janette Manrara has said that she and Aljaz Skorjanec are ‘thrilled’ as the Strictly Come Dancing stars shared a joint update on social media.

Fans will know that presenter and dancer Janette was a pro on the hit BBC One dance show from 2013 until her decision to leave in 2021. However, Janette remained part of the Strictly family as she became the co-host of BBC Two spin-off show, It Takes Two, while her husband Aljaz Skorjanec continued as a pro.

Aljaz, who went on to leave Strictly himself in 2022, made a much-welcomed return to the pro line-up last year, later making the 2024 series final alongside former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri, before being paired with La Voix during the most recent run of the popular dance competition.

Away from Strictly Janette and Aljaz headed out on the road with their own show, A Night To Remember, which feature a sensational ensemble of some of the UK’s very best dancers and singers, with the married couple themselves taking to the dance floor to perform stunning routines to an eclectic array of music.

Janette and Aljaz have since confirmed that fans will be able to see them in action again next year in their new show, Let’s Face The Music…and Dance! But that’s not all they’ll be getting up to.

They’ll once again be doing Donaheys on their Dancing With The Stars Weekends in 2026. Alongside a new post detailing their return, Janette wrote on Instagram on Friday (January 9): “We’re thrilled to be returning to Alton Towers Resort this year for @Donaheys Dancing With The Stars Experience.

“It’s a whole weekend of dancing, workshops, fabulous shows, Q&As, and iconic DWTS nights! All hosted at the amazing Alton Towers Resort — dancing, glitz, and glamour all in one place. We can’t wait to share an unforgettable weekend with you all!”

It came as Janette and Aljaz also made a joint appearance on ITV’s Lorraine. during which Aljaz joked that his wife has been downgraded to being his “number two” on the dance floor.

He said: “Janette used to be my number one, now she’s my number two. Lyra and I dance every night in the kitchen,” referring to the couple’s daughter. Janette then said of her watching the show: “She’s a bit older now so she understands things now. She watched Daddy on Strictly and was screaming at the TV, even doing the scoreboards!”
