ALAN Carr made a heartbreaking divorce confession as he admitted he’s been “walked over” in the past and that he now “doesn’t trust anyone”.
The Celebrity Traitors winner, 49, made the confession on his BBC show that he does with his best pal Amanda Holden, 54, called Amanda and Alan’s Greek Job.
Sipping Aperol Spritz cocktails in the sun, the best mates discussed how life moves fast, and also how they had both gone through divorces.
Alan was previously married to husband Paul Drayton, and although he didn’t say his name in his candid chat with Amanda, the comedian reflected on past relationships.
It all started when The Traitors star talked about how he felt about turning 50.
Amanda then commented that they had both been through a lot in life “including divorce“, and she said that she knew she had made “bad decisions” in the past.

Reflecting om his own past relationships, Alan replied: “I mean, it’s not decisions for me, but knowing your worth and the amount of times I’ve been walked over and people have demeaned me.
“You know, like, there’s times that I wish I’d said, ‘no’, I wish I’d been a bit bolder and a bit… No. Stronger. Yeah, a bit stronger.”
Alan then revealed what he struggles with the most when it comes to meeting someone new.
“I don’t really trust anyone, really. That’s the trouble. I think that is my main thing,” he confided in his friend.
“But, yeah, it’s just getting out there and trusting, isn’t it?”
Alan was in a 14-year relationship with his now ex-husband Paul.
After ten years together they got married in 2018, with singer Adele officiating the ceremony at her Los Angeles mansion.
They raised animals together at a farm they bought in West Sussex.
However, the relationship cracked under the strain of lockdown and they divorced in 2022
Paul spoke to The Sun during Alan’s time on Celebrity Traitors, which the comedian went onto win.
He said: “He [Alan] was tolerant most of the time when we were together, but if he felt someone was taking advantage of him, he would cut them out of his life. He is ruthless in that way.
“I don’t want to say he’s a good liar — as far as I know, he never lied to me during our relationship — but he will be good at playing the game and he will be a good Traitor.”
Reflecting on the fall out from Traitors with Paloma Faith when Alan touched her face to “murder her in plain sight“, Paul quipped: “There were a few times in our relationship when I bet Alan wished he could have touched my face and bumped me off, to save him from the stress I was causing him.
“I fell in love with him because he’s funny and we used to make each other laugh.”
