Police first went to the family’s home at approximately 2:59 p.m. on Oct. 1 after receiving a request to check on the residents.

Officers were unable to locate anyone during that initial visit, prompting authorities to begin investigating the family’s whereabouts.

Police returned the following day and entered the property shortly before 6 p.m. Inside, they discovered Lora and Sloane in separate bedrooms. David was found elsewhere in the residence with a gun still in his hand, prosecutors said.

Medical personnel pronounced all three dead at the scene. Authorities have not disclosed exactly how long they had been dead before they were found.

The property has been valued at approximately $1.75 million.

He studied business administration at the University of Miami and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from McDaniel College, where he also played lacrosse.
