A Texas mother has been arrested after allegedly attacking her husband and their two young children with a knife during a frightening early-morning incident inside the family’s Northlake home, authorities said.

Holly Leeann Flores, 37, faces two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the Tuesday morning attack.

Her husband called 911 at approximately 4:20 a.m., telling authorities that his wife had stabbed him in the head, according to Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford.

When officers arrived at the residence, roughly 30 minutes north of Fort Worth, they conducted a protective sweep of the property.

Inside, police discovered the couple’s 3-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son suffering from stab wounds to their chests. Both children were immediately taken to the hospital.

The husband was also hospitalized. Crawford said all three victims remained under medical care but were expected to survive.

Flores suffered a small cut to her chest during the incident. She received stitches at a hospital before being released into police custody and transported to Denton County Jail.

Disturbing Detail Emerges From 911 Calls

According to Crawford, information from the emergency calls indicated that the husband was attempting to reach the children, who were in another room, while Flores was allegedly trying to stab him.

Detectives are still working to establish exactly what unfolded inside the house and what may have triggered the violence.

Police have not publicly disclosed a motive.

Police Had Been Called to the Address Before

Authorities also revealed that Tuesday’s incident was not the first time officers had responded to the family’s home.

Crawford said police had been called to the address approximately five times since March, with most of those previous calls involving welfare concerns.

The chief declined to provide further details about those incidents while the investigation remains active, saying he did not want to release information without the proper context.

Flores remains in custody as detectives continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
