Jon Bon Jovi was forced to cut his Madison Square Garden concert short on Thursday night after battling a sinus infection.
A representative for the rock legend confirmed to Page Six that “Jon Bon Jovi spoke from stage and told fans he has been battling a sinus infection, which led to the show’s early ending.”
“I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me,” he told attendees, an eyewitness shared with Page Six.
“Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out, OK?” the Grammy winner continued before exiting the stage. “Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule.”
He has yet to address the cancellation further.
The veteran rocker announced the Forever Tour in October 2025, describing the return to the stage as an emotional milestone for both the band and its fans.
“There is a lot of joy in this announcement — joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together,” Bon Jovi said in a statement.
“I am lucky enough to be able to hold a light out to the audience each night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience — I get to stand in the WE of our concerts.”
The tour, which began on July 7, marks Bon Jovi’s first full tour since undergoing vocal cord surgery in 2022.
Back in 2024, the legendary frontman admitted to The Sunday Times that he would be prepared to walk away from performing if he could no longer sing at the standard he expected of himself, saying he would be “done” if “my singing [was] not great.”
Fortunately, Bon Jovi shared much more encouraging news last month, telling People that his voice had “fully recovered.”
Reflecting on the lengthy recovery process, the “Bad Medicine” singer said in June, “It was longer than I’d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith.”
