The family of Hayley Ann Marson has paid tribute to a “gentle and caring soul” after the 33-year-old was found dead at a property in a Lincolnshire village.
Two men have now been charged with her murder and remanded in custody as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Two men charged after Hayley found dead
Police were called to a property on Thames Street in Hogsthorpe, Lincolnshire, shortly after 9am on Tuesday, September 29, following a report that a woman in her 30s had died.
Officers discovered Hayley Ann Marson dead at the address.
Lincolnshire Police subsequently charged John Scott, 52, of no fixed address, and John Welby, 65, of Thames Street, Hogsthorpe, with murder.
Both men appeared before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 2, where they were remanded into custody. They are due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday, October 5.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the circumstances surrounding Hayley’s death have not yet been established publicly.

Family remembers Hayley as a woman with a “heart of gold”
Following her death, Hayley’s family released an emotional tribute describing her as a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt.
They said she had been taken from them “far too soon” and left a space in the family that could never truly be filled.
“Hayley was a gentle and caring soul who would do anything for anyone,” her family said. They described her as having a “heart of gold” and said she was always willing to help those around her.
Her personality was also remembered as a defining part of her life.
According to her relatives, Hayley brought laughter and smiles to those around her and left behind countless memories that her loved ones will continue to treasure.
The family said they would give anything for one more day with her, but would carry her memory forward through their hearts, stories and shared memories.
They also appealed for privacy while they grieve.
“At this incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time,” the family said, they wanted the space to come to terms with Hayley’s death together.
They added that they appreciated the love, kindness and understanding shown to them, but asked to be left to grieve as a family.
Police say investigation is still developing
Detective Inspector Melissa Rooke, of Lincolnshire Police’s Major Crime Unit, said detectives were working to establish the full circumstances surrounding Hayley’s death.
“We are working at pace to provide answers to Hayley’s family,” she said, adding that officers’ thoughts remained with them during the “tragic” time.
Multiple lines of inquiry are being pursued as investigators work to build a full evidential picture and progress the case through the criminal justice system.
Police have also said they believe the incident was isolated and that there is no wider risk to the public.
Thames Street investigation
Following the initial call on September 29, a scene guard was put in place and Thames Street and Langham Road were closed while officers carried out their inquiries.
At that stage, police said two men in their 50s and 60s had been arrested on suspicion of murder and remained in custody.
The force has since confirmed the charges against Scott and Welby.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information that could help establish what happened to Hayley.
Lincolnshire Police has opened a Major Incident Public Portal through which members of the public can submit information, photographs or video footage that may assist the investigation.
As the criminal proceedings are now active, both men are entitled to a fair trial. No further details about the circumstances of Hayley’s death have been publicly established at this stage.
For her family, however, the focus remains on remembering the woman they describe as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt—and on finding answers about how she died.
