A Florida mother was reportedly killed by her sheriff’s deputy ex-boyfriend before the man died by suicide.

The woman was found dead in Spring Hill, Fla. on Monday, Aug. 10, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office said at a press briefing that evening. Authorities did not release her name at the time but she has since been identified as Mandy Fackler by local Tampa Bay Times and FOX 13.

The investigation revealed Fackler’s on-again off-again partner Troy Savetz, a deputy with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, kidnapped her from outside her home in Hudson before they were found deceased about 15 miles away in Spring Hill.

Fackler had just returned home from the beach with her children Monday when she found Savetz in her driveway, per authorities. The two got into an argument and, in 911 call records mentioned at the briefing, she asked the children to go inside the house to be safe.

Savetz then kidnapped Fackler in a rental car before investigators tracked them down in Spring Hill. The two were found dead inside the car, authorities said, adding that Savetz had killed Fackler before turning the gun on himself.

“They just went from the best day of their lives, probably, to the worst day of their lives,” Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco said.

One of the children called 911 to report the incident. The children were physically unharmed.

Savetz and Fackler were in a “tumultuous” relationship, according to those who knew them, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri alleged at Monday’s press briefing.

Just a few months ago, Fackler shared in a Facebook post about getting back together with him.

“Instead of growing through pain and moving on from each other, maybe we’re meant to grow with each other this time. Not battling one another—but standing side by side through it,” she wrote.

She added she had battled her own struggles and that getting back with Savetz was to give him a chance.

“So if you’re someone who’s also figuring this out… you’re not alone,” she wrote. “Maybe we’re all just learning how to choose love over fear—one moment at a time.”

Fackler is remembered as a fun-loving mom who radiated joy and love, and loved spending time with her kids.

In a Facebook post in July, she wrote she’d bought a Chevrolet because “the girls wanted to roll 3 deep in the front together,” she wrote, adding: “Love doing life with them. Love that they wanna be with me.”

“Her beauty radiated from the inside, making her outside glow. Literally glow. Her smile, God, it was annoyingly contagious because how could you not smile or laugh with her?” her friend Brandi Miller told FOX 13.

“She was witty and so ridiculous in all the best ways. She dressed in bright, fun, happy colors because that’s who she was. That was Mandy. Butterflies, rainbows, glitter, peace, love and happy,” said Miller.
