Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a 15-year-old schoolgirl who went missing in Tameside in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Scarlett was last seen at around 1.05am on Tennyson Avenue in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, according to Greater Manchester Police.

Officers said they were becoming “increasingly concerned” about the teenager and appealed to the public for any information that could help locate her.

Police shared a photograph of Scarlett alongside their appeal, showing her wearing her school uniform.

Description of missing teenager

Scarlett is described as a white female, approximately 5ft 8in tall and of average build.

She has long blonde and copper-coloured hair and wears glasses. Police also said she has two piercings in each ear.

At the time she was last seen, Scarlett was wearing a brown faux-leather jacket over a hoodie, along with a grey skirt and black tights.

Greater Manchester Police are urging anyone who has seen Scarlett or knows anything about where she may be to come forward.

The force has asked members of the public to contact police with any information that could help officers establish her whereabouts.
