AGT Judges Call 17-Year-Old Bety “a Star Already” for Her Angelic SP Saxe Cover
In a leak from Night 2 of Season 21’s auditions, the teen impresses the Judges with a gorgeous Audition.
Spanish teenager Bety certainly made the most of her first time in America.
In an America’s Got Talent early release of Episode 3, the 17-year-old to take her slot during Auditions for Season 21 of AGT, for which she’d traveled all the way from Valencia, Spain with her brother. No big!

For her performance, Bety chose JP Saxe’s 2019 song “If The World Was Ending,” and absolutely nailed the emotion, even dipping in and out of Spanish lyrics. As Judge Mel B pointed out, that plus her unique timbre, would make her instantly recognizable on the radio. “I don’t think it could have gone any better for you right now. You have so much potential, but I can see your nervousness,” Mel added.
“You gave us kind of a masterclass on how to sing a song. And you’re not copying people. You’ve got your own thing going. I think you nailed that,” said Judge Simon Cowell.
They both voted her through to the next round, as did Judge Howie Mandel, who called her “Halsey and Adele all rolled into one, and Sofía Vergara, who told her, “Your energy’s beautiful, the song was beautiful, you’re a star already.”
Like many aspiring singers these days, Bety, AKA Bety Dumitru, has already started building a fanbase online, where she has over 46,000 followers on Instagram and more than 91,000 followers on TikTok.
