In the latest serialized extract from his forthcoming memoir published by the Daily Mail, Diana’s younger brother asserts that the then-Prince of Wales sounded visibly elated during their telephone conversation shortly after the fatal Paris car crash on August 31, 1997.
Describing the immediate aftermath of the tragedy, Earl Spencer recalled endless phone calls from friends and family who were paralyzed with shock and barely able to articulate condolences.
