DOLLYWOOD DUO FERRYN AND BRINKLEY WRIGHT ADVANCE ON ‘THE VOICE’ SEASON 30 AFTER INTENSE BATTLE ROUND
Fresh off filling the team rosters at the conclusion of the Blind Auditions on October 6, Season 30 of NBCβs The Voice moved straight into the high-stakes Battle Rounds. Team Riley Green kicked off the head-to-head phase with an explosive three-way matchup, pairing Sevierville sister duo and Dollywood performers Ferryn and Brinkley Wright against country-pop vocalist Brandy Neelly.

A High-Energy Trio on Miranda Lambertβs Classic
Coach Riley Green selected Miranda Lambertβs 2011 hit “Mamaβs Broken Heart” for the trio’s showcase. In a fitting turn of events, former Dollywood entertainer Carly Pearce joined Green as the team’s special mentor and guest advisor during rehearsals. The resulting performance delivered sharp stage presence and commanding vocal dynamics that lit up the stage from the opening verse.
Unanimous Acclaim from the Coaching Panel
The performance drew immediate, enthusiastic feedback across the panel. Coach and original American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson praised the sisters’ vocal synchronization: “Ferryn and Brinkley, youβre so tight and cool and special. Youβve got the whole little package going on.” Fellow coaches Queen Latifah and Adam Levine echoed that sentiment, noting the sisters were completely “locked in” and delivered a fantastic routine.
A Tough Decision and a Ticket to ‘Cut Week’
Faced with sending a contestant home, Green admitted the outcome would be painful either way before officially declaring Ferryn and Brinkley the winners of the battle, ending Neellyβs run on the show. Explaining his verdict, Green highlighted the duo’s distinct advantage: “I had to go with Ferryn and Brinkley because theyβve got a really strong chance of making it past Cut Week and theyβre the only duo on the show. The fact that they can sing together and their harmonies are so tight is what really makes them something that could be a real contender on ‘The Voice.'”

With the victory secured, Ferryn and Brinkley Wright now advance to the high-pressure “Cut Week,” where coaches will be forced to eliminate half of their remaining rosters following the conclusion of all team Battle Rounds.
