Call the Midwife star Ella Bruccoleri’s romantic drama struck a chord with audiences owing to its refreshing take on the Jane Austen tradition.

In the wake of its finale, devotees are on the hunt for their next televisual obsession, and another BBC production has just landed on a free streaming service.
The three-part romantic drama is adapted from Nancy Mitford’s 1945 novel of the same name and originally aired on BBC One in May 2021.

The drama stars Lily James and Andrew Scott
The show follows two cousins as they navigate life and friendship while chasing very different dreams.
Emily Beecham takes on the role of Fanny Logan, alongside Lily James as The Honourable Linda Radlett, Fanny’s cousin.
The stellar cast also features Dominic West, Emily Mortimer, Freddie Fox and Andrew Scott.
Critics were full of praise when the series first hit screens, with The Guardian bestowing a flawless five-star rating upon the opening episode.
