THE Traitors is set to air the “most explosive” episode of the show’s history TONIGHT.
Sources have promised the action on the BBC One programme – which has just seen the secret Traitor revealed – will “all kick off” during the 65-minute episode starting at 8pm.
On Wednesday’s episode, Fiona’s role as the red-cloaked un-faithful was exposed to BBC viewers and her fellow traitors in an explosive scene.
Her role – specifically created for the latest series – then sparked friction with OG Traitor Rachel, who accused her of being “dangerous”.
At the start of the series, show host Claudia Winkleman also chose Hugo and Stephen along with Rachel as her original deceptive bunch trio, yet the former was eliminated during last week’s Round Table.
As well as Fiona’s shock reveal, Wednesday’s instalment also shone light on secret romance as well as leaving the fate of one cast member in the balance in a nail biting cliffhanger following an arduous challenge.

Yet despite the high octane action, a source has told the Daily Star there’s much more to come in the next instalment – set to air in just a few hours.
They said: “The episode is very dramatic indeed. It all kicks off.
“The game is in full flow and the pressure is getting to everyone.
“During filming, producers were quite shocked by it all.
“Many fans will remember the explosive breakfast in the show’s first series.
“Well, this episode makes that look like child’s play!”
Last night, some viewers were left stunned as Reece failed to mention the moment he spotted the Traitors plotting.
And as Maz revealed a huge secret from his past, other fans suspected there’s another secret connection at play.
Meanwhile, Stephen, Maz, Sam and Reece are all technically up for murder by the Traitors – though the former should survive as he is a Traitor himself.
Yet it remains to be seen if there is another twist in the tale.

How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?
The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.
Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.
How does it work?
It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.
The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.
The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.
While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).
Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition
Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.
The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.
The prize sees the winner could get £120K.
The Secret Traitor inclusion was a brand new twist for the 2026 series.
Yet when Rachel and Stephen successfully managed to murder one of the cast in plain sight, her identity was revealed to the un-faithful players.
The local government officer from Swansea had pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes – even orchestrating the murder shortlist each night.
Rachel was left speechless at the reveal and gasped: “Fiona!,” as Stephen cheekily told her: “You minx.”
Fiona replied: “I am!”
The show then shared a flashback to when host Claudia Winkleman picked Fiona as the Secret Traitor on the first day.
Fiona told the presenter: “I will do my best to be as treacherous as possible.”
Meanwhile, Traitors Uncloaked spin-off show host Ed Gamble has revealed how he spotted a sign Fiona was the Secret Traitor from the off.
