Vicky Pattison declares ‘big news is out’ in Strictly Come Dancing announcement
Fans were thrilled by Vicky’s update as she makes her Strictly return
Vicky Pattison has declared to fans that the ‘big news is out’ as she makes her Strictly Come Dancing return months after her exit from the latest run of the competition.
The former Geordie Shore was tipped as an early favourite to win the BBC One dance show when she signed up for 2025 series alongside 14 other celebrities last year.
But there was a dramatic turn of events in week eight of the popular programme when Vicky and her professional dance partner Kai Widdrington failed to impress with their Jive and ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard, just a week after finding themselves at the top of the scoring.
Their low scores didn’t help when it came to the public vote and after landing in the dreaded dance-off, Vicky and Kai exited the competition just a week before the show’s annual Blackpool special, which sees the show broadcast live from the famous Tower Ballroom.
But, Vicky didn’t have to stay gutted for too long about the end of her Strictly journey as it was later revealed that she would be hitting the road with a number of stars from the show in the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2026 tour.
In a previous statement, Vicky said: “I had an incredible couple of months on Strictly! Now I’m buzzing like an old fridge that I get to continue this amazing experience and put my dancing shoes back on for the Strictly Live tour at arenas all over the country – including my hometown of Newcastle!”
Now, Vicky has been seen preparing for her stint on the road as she and her co-stars began rehearsals this week with days to go until the string of shows get underway at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on January 23.
In a new Instagram post, the presenter and reality TV star was able to reveal what fans can expect from her part in the show. As she took to Instagram with a number of photos from her time in the famous Strictly ballroom, she said: “ARGHHHHH!!!! The big news is OUT!!!!
“@kaiwidd and I will be dancing our Taylor Swift Tango and Cheryl Cole Couples choice on the @strictlycomedancinglive tour!!! We are SO excited to see you all there. There’s tickets still available and I’ll out the link on my stories now!!!! Can’t wait!!!!”
And fans were thrilled. nikkirocks3 said: “Woohoo, knew u would do Chezza. Can’t wait to see you and Kai in London.” @zoeritter18 commented: “I’m so so excited to see you perform this dance again – so proud of you Vicky.” @tashramsay123 wrote: “So excited to see you dancing again so soon.”
@freddexmorgan posted: “I CANNOT WAIT! COME ON! Truly can’t wait to meet you!” @vickypattisonslays replied: “My favourite couples choice & favourite tango EVER. Can’t wait to see these 2 dances from the front row in 10 days.” @emmaruthcox added: “So excited!! My fave dances of yours! Can’t wait.”
The other stars confirmed for the tour are La Voix, George Clarke, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Lewis Cope, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Ellie Goldstein and Layton Williams. Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will also be on the road, with the tour once again being hosted by Janette Manrara.
