Lewis Cope has said his ‘heart is full’ as he was seen returning to his hometown with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones, despite their partnership with the hit show recently coming to an end.
Fans of the BBC One dance contest will recall that the actor and his dance partner caused a shock in the famous ballroom were seen leaving the competition just a few weeks before the final.
Despite being tipped to lift the Glitterball trophy, the pair were seen out of the competition during the quarter-final stage, following what was considered a shock dance-off against Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.
But it didn’t mean the end of Lewis and Katya’s partnership, as they went on to join the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2026 tour, which kicked off towards the end of January in Birmingham, before visiting a number of cities, including Manchester, and finishing earlier this month at London’s 02 Arena.
However, days on from the 30-date tour coming to an end, Lewis and Katay were back together as they hosted a dance class in Hartlepool and were clearly delighted with the turn out.
Sharing a video full of clips from the event on Instagram, Katya told her followers: “MORE is MORE..More dancing, more smiles, more laughter, more joy in every step. Thank you to everyone who came to Dance with Lewis and Katya Hartlepool . Such a wholesome, joy filled day. We are truly grateful for every face, every move, every shared smile.”

She added: “And if you’re craving more… London workshop this Sunday 1st March. A few spaces left. Come dance with us. Link in bio.” Lewis was quick to share his gratitude for the support, as he commented on the post: “What an amazing day. This was so special! Thank you for the memories.” He also wrote in a comment on his Instagram Story: “My heart is full. TYSM.”
Fans, meanwhile, were also keen to show their praise and support for the pair. @rhiannon_dv said: “More is ALWAYS More!!!
