Jeremy Clarkson has told his loved ones about his cancer diagnosis while filming Clarkson’s Farm and shared that there had been complications during treatment – the star has known about the news since May
TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer. During the latest episode of his TV show Clarkson’s Farm, the 66-year-old was seen sharing the news with those closest to him.
Clarkson discussed the harvest with farm manager Charlie Ireland and farm hand Kaleb Cooper when he suddenly revealed his health update. He told the pair: “I’ve got cancer. I’ve known since May”
“I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it’s aggressive, but it’s really early so the treatment will be, you know.”
The presenter said he was ‘fine’ but he would be ‘out of action for a while’

Speaking from a hospital bed at the end of the season finale, Clarkson revealed he had experienced complications during treatment.
“We started season five with me in a hospital bed and here we are at the end of season five and I’m back in a hospital bed,” he said.
“What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t,” he said. “Take care, everyone,” he signed off.

The latest series of Clarkson’s Farm was filmed from late 2024 to September 2025. After his initial surgery, he told Kaleb that he had “10 per cent” of his prostate removed via ultrasound. “The prostate, 10 per cent of it’s dead,” he said. “The 10 per cent where the cancer is.”
Jeremy then said that he is “fine standing up” after the surgery, but sitting on a tractor is uncomfortable. He later reflected on the year with Charlie, Kaleb, Gerald Cooper and his girlfriend, Lisa Hogan.

“So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer,” he said. “We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good.”
The star went on to say that he was going for blood tests. He subsequently added: “Come on cheer up, it probably did work.”
Before the two latest episodes dropped in the middle of the night on Wednesday morning, Jeremy had told his Instagram followers that they should expect a “really, really difficult watch”.

Clearly emotional and holding back the tears, he said in his upload: “Ordinarily we try to keep the show bucolic and charming and cheerful. But the final two episodes which drop in the middle of the night tonight are none of those things really. They’re a difficult watch. They’re really, really, difficult.”
Earlier this year, Jeremy had hinted that bad news would be aired in the new series. He told The Sun at the time: “Anyone who thinks season five of Clarkson’s Farm is a barrel of laughs is in for serious disappointment.”
Production of the next series is now expected to be put on hold so Jeremy has time to recover. Since deciding to run his farm in 2019 and subsequently launching his popular reality series, he has become a vocal supporter of farmers and attended a protest in London against the Government’s move to introduce inheritance tax on farmland in November 2024. The sixth series of the show is due to air in 2027.
