Vito Coppola has left his fans ‘mesmerised’ as the Strictly Come Dancing star revealed his return to the UK ahead of his big dancing return.

The professional dancer is best known for being on the BBC One dance show, having joined the pro line-up back in 2022 alongside fellow pros Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Michelle Tsiakkas.

Last year, Vito returned to Strictly for his fourth series, where he was partnered with model and actress Ellie Goldstein. Fans of the popular programme fell in love with the partnership before their journey came to an end following the competition’s annual Halloween special.

Following the elimination, Vito gushed to Ellie: “Honestly, there are no words I can use to describe how proud I am of you and you did really change my life so much. You made me such a better person. At the beginning of this year, I said to myself, ‘Please, please, please can you send me a beautiful angel into my life?’ And now you arrived.”

He did, however, take home the win in Strictly’s Christmas special with TV personality Scarlett Moffatt after the duo received a full 40 points for their festive routine.

Following the end of Strictly’s 23rd series on December 20, Vito headed back to Italy to spend time with his loved ones. But on Thursday (January 8), he shared a snap of his passport to his Instagram Story and said: “Ready to go back to the UK. London, I’m coming. Let’s begin another beautiful year.”

It comes after he teased fans about his dancing return, as he’s set to join the Strictly Come Dancing Live 2026 tour alongside Ellie, as well as the Professional Dancers tour later. Alongside a video of him practising his moves, in which he could be seen swinging his hops in circles, the Italian star said: “Keeping myself warm. Soo ready for this new season of @dancewithusclasses.”

And fans were quick to respond. @julie__watt said: “This has brightened up a cold, snowy January night in Scotland. Happy New Year Vito.2 @mand.1805 commented: “You just brightened up my day @vitocoppola.2 @casanicholls wrote: “Mesmorising!” @shelly2day replied: “Oh wow, those hips @vitocoppola. There hipnotic.” @mrliamenglish added: “The hips don’t lie.”
