Amber Davies may be getting stuck into her new job, but her recent Strictly Come Dancing stint isn’t far from her thoughts as she looked back fondly at training with Nikita Kuzmin.
As fans know, the actress and West End star had quite the journey in the BBC One dance contest, signing up just 24 hours before the 2025 series got underway back in September as she replaced an injured Dani Dyer.
Dani fractured her ankle during training for their first live performance, which came after she and Nikita made their debut in the pre-recorded launch show in September. With her exit confirmed, Amber was drafted in to replace her and perfomed just hours later live in front of the nation.
But the rest, as they say, is history and Amber and Nikita made it through to the 2025 series final, where they went up against fellow finalists Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, and George Clarke and Alexis Warr for the coveted Glitterball trophy.
In the end, it was former Lioness Karen and her professional dance partner Carlos who were seen being crowned champions following the public vote and following the final, which took place on December 20.
The Christmas festivities quickly followed and now a New Year is underway, Amber is already busy preparing for her next role. Before she joined Strictly, it was announced that the 27-year-old would be taking on the lead role of Elle Woods in the new touring production of Legally Blonde The Musical, which kicks off in February and goes across the UK and Ireland.
But amidst rehearsals and press for the upcoming show, Amber has been looking back at her time on Strictly and took to her TikTok account with a video of herself and Nikita in training. “I miss this episode of life.” She also captioned the post: “The pressure. The stress. The achy muscles. I miss it all. Especially you, @Nikita Kuzmin.”
