When Cesar Dias hit the America’s Got Talent stage, he admitted he was nervous, but he was there to deliver one of the most unique auditions the show has ever seen. The Portuguese talent sang Frank Sinatra’s hit “My Way,” but things quickly turned to disaster. His stage setup fell apart, he had a major wardrobe malfunction, but his artfully chaotic comedy and music routine won plenty of fans.

As one top commenter said, this quirky audition “proved that physical comedy is not dead,” and fans were loving seeing Cesar bring it back! Any fans of the Jim Carrey school of physical tomfoolery will find plenty to like here. Cesar sure knows how to croon, which made it more than your usual slapstick routine. The Music Man has to say the reaction from the audience and the judges said it all!
America’s Got Talent uploaded Cesar’s audition on June 10, 2026, and it soon hit 475,000 views. Fans found a lot to like in the audition, and added comments such as “This dude has star/charisma power” and “I’ve missed this kind of comedy for such a long time and I’m so glad someone brought it back. He is great. A winner.” Viewers also noted how much his vocal abilities added to the act.
America’s Got Talent had no shortage of spicy comedy acts in the 2026 season. On the same night as Cesar, Rynia Kando also dropped a side-splitting physical comedy routine, and hers was likewise completely unique. Rynia dropped her impressions of how big names like Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera would stub their toes, mixing in their vocal styles with the quirky act. She certainly saved the best for last with her take on Mariah Carey!
Cesar got a rave reception from the America’s Got Talent judges. Howie Mandel said, “You are talented, you are funny, you are physical, you are the best way to end the night.” All four judges gave the comedian yes votes. The Music Man is definitely keen to see where Cesar takes his act next.
Cesar Dias is a Portuguese clown and physical comedian, and his family has been performing in the comedy biz for four generations. His signature performance is his take on “My Way,” which he artfully blends with his physical comedy act. It’s not the first time Cesar has performed on national TV, as he reached the semifinals of the Italian competition Tu Si Que Vales in 2020.
