Elektro Dads (America's Got Talent 2026) || 5 Things You Didn't Know About Elektro Dads

It gets hard to find time for creative pursuits once you have kids. But these dancing dads were motivated to get back on the dance floor on America’s Got Talent for one reason: Their kids asked them to! This turned out to be a brilliant call, as Elektro Dads not only brought the fire dance moves, but they brought so much FUN to the performance, which creatively featured their kids’ input. Watching how much joy the quartet brought to the crowd and judges was what made this performance.

These dancing dads brought the FUN back to America's Got Talent with fleet-footed routine that got the joint grooving, but Elektro Dads' motivation for the performance was the most adorable part! -

The cameos from the kids were also super adorable. As Elektro Dads danced, they fielded calls from the 10 kids that they have between them, and comments from the kids were broadcast during the performance. The kids cheekily appealing to Simon Cowell to be nice to their dads was a sweet touch. The Music Man has to say that this is the kind of feel-good performance we love to see on America’s Got Talent!

Elektro Dads auditioned on America’s Got Talent on July 15, 2026. Their audition proved to be quite the hit, with 540,000 viewers tuning in. Viewers were big fans, and added comments such as “Adults that know how to bring it back to fun and awesomeness. Great example for your kids!! Life is too short not to live like you love life” and “When you have your own kids, all you want to do is make them proud. This had me teary-eyed with how cute and creative this was!”

So it turns out that Elektro Dads have quite a bit of lore behind them. The group first came to broader public attention under the name of Elektrolytes. Elektrolytes won the seventh season of America’s Best Dance Crew in 2012. The group has previously performed as an 11-member group but has switched up their format and the number of dancers over the years. One thing that hasn’t changed is the spicy moves they deliver on stage!

Mel B opened the judges’ comments, saying, “That was actually surprisingly really good, and at the same time, really, really cute.” Howie Mandel wasn’t a fan though. He acknowledged that they could all dance really well but said the quartet lacked any wow factor. The crowd was on team Elektro Dads though, as they booed these comments from Howie, while Mel and Sofía Vergara remonstrated with him. Simon Cowell kept the room in suspense with his opening comment, suggesting that the dads might have been a bit rusty. However, Simon changed his tack and said, “I think people are gonna relate to you, and I think you did brilliant.” The Music Man is pleased to report that Elektro Dads got three out of four yes votes from the judges, sending them to the next round.
