Prince Harry is reportedly struggling to come to terms with Prince William’s apparent decision to keep his distance, despite the Duke of Sussex’s return to the UK and his long-stated hopes of reconciling with his older brother.
Harry, Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, moved back to Britain in August after spending the previous six years in the United States. Although Harry cited the “opportunities” available for his family as a reason for the move, being closer to his royal relatives may also have played a role.
However, returning to home soil has not brought the family reconciliation Harry may have hoped for.

Tensions between Harry and several members of the Royal Family have remained high since he stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
His relationship with William has been particularly strained, and despite now living closer to one another, the brothers are believed to remain on non-talking terms.
According to a source who spoke to RadarOnline.com, Harry has been “shocked” by William’s unwillingness to make amends. The Prince of Wales has reportedly chosen to ignore his younger brother’s return to Britain and has not mentioned him publicly.
“William’s acting like Harry and Meghan don’t exist,” the source said. “Ignoring Harry is his way of handling what he considers to be a wretchedly unpleasant situation.”
The source claimed that William’s approach has been particularly frustrating for Harry, who has repeatedly spoken about wanting to repair his relationship with his brother.
Reports Claim Harry Is Frustrated by William’s Stance
The source said Harry has become increasingly frustrated by the lack of progress between the brothers.
“It’s infuriating to him,” the source claimed.
The insider also suggested that Harry’s impulsive nature could make the ongoing situation even more difficult, adding that the more upset he becomes, the more likely he may be to act on threats to make William regret his decision.
According to the source, Harry believes he has tried every possible way to express his regret and is genuinely surprised that he has not seen what he considers to be any sign of forgiveness from William.
‘Spare’ Is Believed to Have Deepened the Divide

William has largely kept his distance from Harry for several years, with the publication of the Duke’s memoir, Spare, in 2023 widely believed to have further damaged their relationship.
Although the brothers have been in the same room since the book’s release, they are not believed to have spoken to one another.
Their physical proximity following Harry’s return to Britain appears to have done little, at least so far, to bridge the gap between them.
King Charles Has Made Efforts to Maintain Family Ties
While the relationship between William and Harry remains strained, King Charles is believed to have made efforts to maintain connections with both of his sons.
The monarch hosted Harry, Meghan and their children at Highgrove for a family meeting in July, one month before the Sussexes moved back to the UK.
However, the King is believed not to have seen his youngest son, daughter-in-law or grandchildren since they established their home in Britain.
Reports suggest this may be due to the monarch’s busy schedule.
For Harry, returning to the UK may have brought him physically closer to the Royal Family, but the emotional distance between him and William appears to remain. Despite his reported hopes of reconciliation, the brothers’ relationship is still believed to be at a standstill — with William seemingly choosing silence over a public or private attempt to repair their fractured bond.
