Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is due to give evidence in court tomorrow as the trial of a man accused of threatening him gets underway. The former Duke of York is expected to appear via video link on Wednesday after being granted permission to give evidence remotely. Alex Jenkinson has been charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. One of the charges is understood to relate to Andrew.
Jenkinson previously appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court by video link, where he pleaded not guilty to both charges. A trial is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 29, with Andrew expected to give evidence from a remote location. The alleged incident is reported to have taken place in May while the Duke was walking his dogs near his home at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate.

According to reports, Andrew was accompanied by one of his private security officers at the time of the alleged incident.
The Duke, who stepped back from royal duties in 2019 and was stripped of his honorary military affiliations and royal patronages in 2022, is expected to appear only to give his evidence before the trial continues.
The court is expected to hear evidence relating to the allegations against Jenkinson, who denies both charges.
It comes months after Andrew had been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was taken into police custody for an interview and released the same day under investigation.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Andrew has kept a very low profile since the Epstein files scandals saw him lose his royal titles and Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor.
He has always denied wrongdoing and accusations against him.
