Police Review More Than 1 Million Images as Fifth Missing Woman Is Linked to Philadelphia Home

A sprawling Philadelphia investigation has widened again after authorities linked another missing woman to a North Philadelphia property already connected to several disappearances.

Investigators are now examining more than one million images recovered during the investigation into the Olney home formerly owned by photographer Raymond “R.C.” Horsch and later occupied by his son, Eugene Horsch. The FBI has also increased the number of agents assigned to the case as authorities work through a massive collection of digital and physical evidence.

The latest woman linked to the property is Nicole Fusaro, who was 27 when she disappeared in 2018. Her relatives have been meeting with Philadelphia police detectives as investigators try to determine exactly how she may be connected to the home.

“Nicole was a beautiful, kindhearted woman who deserved so much better than what happened to her. She will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends,” her cousin, Jonathan Halloran-Koren, said.

Investigation Expands After Digital Evidence Is Recovered

The case intensified following the June 19 arrest of Eugene Horsch, 44, on allegations involving firearms and false identification.

Police said Eugene was found in a vehicle in Center City with a woman who allegedly possessed a fake ID bearing the name of Blair Tonzelli, a 35-year-old healthcare aide who disappeared from Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood in February 2023.

As investigators searched the Horsch property, they uncovered an enormous amount of material. Authorities seized approximately 50 hard drives containing more than one million images that are now being reviewed.

Police have also described finding disturbing video material allegedly recorded inside the property. One video recovered in August reportedly depicts R.C. Horsch with a woman whom authorities have not publicly identified. Police said they were able to locate a relative of the woman and inform the family about the discovery.

Investigators have not said that Nicole Fusaro is the woman shown in that recording.

Several Missing Women Now Connected to the Case

Other missing women have also emerged during the investigation.

Authorities have previously examined video material purportedly involving Gabrielle Amarando, who disappeared in 2012 at age 22, and Maribel Fresses, who was 27 when she vanished in 2018.

Blair Tonzelli’s disappearance is also part of the investigation. A bank card bearing her name was reportedly recovered from the property.

Another woman connected to the home is R.C. Horsch’s former wife, Amy McHale, 44, who disappeared after she was last seen at the property.

With Fusaro now linked to the investigation, police are trying to establish what happened to each woman and whether the cases are connected beyond their associations with the Horsch property.

Investigation Began After Eugene Horsch’s Arrest

R.C. Horsch, who died in 2025 at age 82, had worked as an erotic photographer and had previously been convicted of producing methamphetamine.

His son Eugene was arrested in June after authorities accused him of impersonating federal agents and possessing firearms with erased serial numbers. He was subsequently indicted in July on gun and fake-credential charges.

That arrest ultimately led investigators to the Olney property, where the scope of the case expanded dramatically.

Beyond the digital material, investigators discovered containers of unidentified chemicals and documents that drew further scrutiny. Among the items was an unsigned handwritten note referring to serial killer Ted Bundy and discussing methods for disposing of trash.

Authorities have also continued examining sewer lines beneath the property and chemical vats purchased by Eugene as they search for additional evidence.

No Charges Filed in Connection With the Missing Women

Despite the disturbing discoveries and the growing number of missing-person cases associated with the property, Eugene Horsch has not been charged with any crime related to the disappearances of the women.

Investigators have also not publicly established that all five cases are directly connected or explained precisely how each woman became associated with the home.

With more than one million images and material from dozens of hard drives still requiring examination, authorities are continuing to piece together what happened inside the property and whether the evidence can provide answers to families who have waited years for information about their missing loved ones.
