A 35-year-old newlywed suddenly vanished from his New York home, leaving behind his car, wallet and even his phone — but it’s what he may NOT have taken with him that has made his wife’s desperate plea, “Please, come home,” more urgent with every passing hour 😳

A desperate search is underway for 35-year-old Dominick Bianchi after the newlywed disappeared from his East Greenbush, New York, home Tuesday morning, leaving behind several belongings his family might normally expect him to carry.

Bianchi’s cellphone, wallet and car were all left at the home, according to police. Days later, his wife, Julianna Zyra — whom he married only months ago — made an emotional public appeal for her husband to return.

“Whatever it is that’s going on, there are so many people who care about you want you to be OK,” Zyra said.

“I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you’re seeing this, please, come home.”

The circumstances have become increasingly concerning for Bianchi’s family because he has type 1 diabetes and may not have access to the insulin and monitoring equipment he needs.

Bianchi was last seen at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday at his home in East Greenbush, a town just south of Albany.

Police said he was believed to be wearing black sweatpants and a black long-sleeve shirt, and may also have been wearing a baseball cap.

He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and has several distinctive tattoos that could help identify him, including a skull-and-roses design on his chest, a baseball tattoo on his right arm and a cross on his back.

Authorities have appealed directly to residents in the surrounding area for help, asking them to inspect their properties and review any cameras that could have captured Bianchi after he left home.

Police specifically asked people to check sheds, vehicles, trail cameras and home surveillance systems for anything that might provide a clue to his movements.

Wife asks public to stop speculating

As the search continues, Zyra has also urged people not to spread theories online about her husband’s disappearance.

She said Bianchi has been dealing with mental health difficulties “for quite some time” and stressed that she believes he is currently unwell.

“It’s not fair. And I really wish people would stay off the internet, hypothesizing things that happened, he’s very sick and he is not in the right headspace,” she said.

Her comments came as relatives and authorities continued trying to establish where Bianchi may have gone after leaving the house without his phone, wallet or vehicle.

For his wife, the priority remains finding him safely rather than speculating about why he disappeared.

Family particularly concerned about his diabetes

Bianchi’s type 1 diabetes has added another layer of urgency to the search.

His family fears he may not have his insulin with him.

Zyra also explained that her husband uses a continuous glucose monitor connected to his cellphone — the same phone he apparently left behind.

“He has a continuous glucose monitor, which is paired to his phone that he doesn’t have,” she said.

That means relatives are not only worried about where Bianchi is, but also whether he has access to the medication and technology he routinely relies upon to manage his condition.

Newlyweds married only months ago

The disappearance comes only months after Bianchi and Zyra were married.

Photographs shared by the family show the couple smiling together, making Zyra’s emotional appeal particularly poignant as she waits for information about her husband’s whereabouts.

Rather than focusing on unanswered questions surrounding his departure, she used her public message to remind Bianchi that he has people waiting to support him.

Her plea was simple: he is not alone, people want to help him, and she wants him to come home.

Police ask residents to check cameras and properties

East Greenbush Police are continuing to seek information from anyone who may have seen Bianchi or captured him on surveillance footage.

The department has asked residents to carefully check their properties, including areas that might normally be overlooked, as well as footage from doorbell cameras, security systems and trail cameras.

Bianchi’s tattoos may provide additional identifying details if someone encountered him after he was last seen.

As of the information released with the appeal, his whereabouts remained unknown.

Anyone with information that could assist the search is asked to contact the East Greenbush Police Department at 518-479-2525.
