The Beach Boys, a five-member band, got together in Hawthorne, California, in 1961. They released Surfin’ Safari, their first record, with Capitol Records the following year. They released hundreds of songs until they ended in 1998, and 80 of their songs charted worldwide during their career.

They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and are recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award®. They became a staple in American music culture and continue to influence thousands of artists, such as the Krokodiloes, today.
