Netflix’s Bridgerton season 4 may hide spin-off potential for fan-favorite characters, exec teases

If you thought Netflix was going to be limited to just the Julia Quinn books when adapting Bridgerton for streaming, you were obviously wrong. As they were celebrating the release date for Bridgerton Season 4, at least one executive producer on the show was already eying at least one new Bridgerton spinoff starring characters we’ve already seen on screen.

At the red carpet premiere for Bridgerton Season 4, Tom Verica was asked if viewers could expect more spinoffs from the Bridgerton series. His answer was surprisingly blunt for such a potentially delicate matter. The director and executive producer of the hit Netflix period drama answered, “Yes.”
Don’t get too excited, though, as he didn’t confirm who might be getting their own spinoffs in the growing Bridgerton universe. “Queen Charlotte, we thoroughly enjoyed that experience,” Verica explained. “It was more of a smaller look at a particular love story that spanned over those episodes, and I think we kind of caught something that people really responded to. So we are in talks of some other projects and hopefully, something, some news, something will be coming out at some point. Hopefully.”

The only hint he would give is that at least some of the proposed Bridgerton spinoffs focus on characters we’ve already seen before Season 4 even came out. “I’ll say this, there have been characters that you have me before, ones that you were invested in, but again, we’re talking about different possibilities and, the great thing about having a cast this size is, there’s a lot of stories to dive into, but the particular ones we’re talking about, it’s going to be really, really enjoyable.”
