Rob Lowe Rushes to His Brother’s Side
Following the news, Chad Lowe’s older brother, actor Rob Lowe, reportedly put everything aside to support his family.
A source told Naughty But Nice that Rob immediately focused on being there for his younger brother.
“Chad is his little brother, and the second he heard, Hollywood stopped mattering,” the source said. “There was nowhere else Rob was going to be except by Chad’s side.”
Another source said Rob understands that there is nothing he can say to take away his brother’s grief, but that he can remain present and make sure Chad does not have to face the loss alone.
“He can’t take away Chad’s grief. What he can do is be present, protect his brother and make absolutely certain he never has to face this alone,” the source said. “Right now, he’s simply a big brother helping hold his family together.”
People also reported that Rob, along with close friends, had rallied around Chad and his wife, producer Kim Painter.
“Everyone’s heartbroken,” another source said, adding that the priority was supporting the family “in any way they can.”
Family Requests Privacy
The family has asked for privacy during an extraordinarily difficult time and has encouraged anyone struggling with mental health to seek support.
Their statement concluded with a reminder to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
The family has not publicly provided further details about Fiona’s death beyond their statement and the information contained in the medical examiner’s records.
