The nine-year-old died from injuries sustained at the Elliot Industrial Estate on Monday.
Arbroath Football Club held a minute’s silence on Saturday afternoon in memory of Minnie Merriman.
Emergency services were called to Elliot Industrial Estate on Monday, where the nine-year-old was reported to be injured.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where she later died.
It was confirmed she was one of four people who were taken to the hospital.
On Saturday afternoon, the Red Lichties confirmed that a silence would be held before their 3pm match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
They said: “We ask all fans to join us in observing a minute’s silence before kick off in memory of 9-year-old Minnie Merriman, following her recent passing and those affected by the recent events in Arbroath.”
On Wednesday, Christopher Rice, 35, appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court accused of murdering Minnie.
He made no plea and was remanded. He is due back in court next week.
In a statement, released through Police Scotland, Minnie’s family said: “We are devastated with the loss of our beloved, absolutely incredible, beautiful and brave Minnie Moo.
“Our family asks that our privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.”
Police previously confirmed the child and Rice, from West Yorkshire, were known to one another.
