Chad Lowe’s Daughter Fiona Dies at 13 as Family Shares Heartbreaking Tribute
Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, are mourning the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona Hepler Lowe.
The family confirmed Fiona’s death in a statement shared with PEOPLE on September 29, describing her as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.” (People.com)
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the family said.
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
The family added that Fiona’s death had devastated them and asked for prayers and privacy as they grieve.
The statement also encouraged anyone struggling with mental health to seek help through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The family has not publicly disclosed a cause of death. (People.com)
Remembering Fiona
Fiona was the middle child of Chad and Kim, who also have daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
Born on November 16, 2012, Fiona would have turned 14 later this year. Her father publicly celebrated her 13th birthday in November 2025 with a loving Instagram tribute.
“Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!!” Chad wrote at the time, adding: “Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!” 
The family had also endured another major loss in 2025 when their home in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades was destroyed in the devastating fires.
In February 2025, Chad shared a photo of his three daughters returning to see what remained of their childhood home after the family had evacuated.
“Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home,” he wrote.
He praised his daughters for the way they had handled the experience, describing their resilience as remarkable and saying that helping them through the difficult period was his priority.
“Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege,” he added. (People.com)
