CALEB FLYNN FINALLY SPOKE OUT ABOUT THE NIGHT HIS WIFE WAS KILLED — BUT THE STORY HE TOLD POLICE ABOUT A MYSTERIOUS INTRUDER IS NOW UNDER SCRUTINY BECAUSE OF ONE DETAIL AT THE VERY PLACE HE SAID THE KILLER ENTERED 🚨

Former ‘American Idol’ Contestant Caleb Flynn Breaks Down as Investigators Challenge His Intruder Account at Murder Trial

Former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn became visibly emotional in an Ohio courtroom as testimony in his murder trial turned to the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn, and investigators raised fresh doubts about his claim that an intruder was responsible.

Flynn, who appeared on the singing competition in 2013 and once publicly spoke about his love for Ashley, has pleaded not guilty to charges including aggravated murder. Prosecutors allege that Ashley was fatally shot in the couple’s Tipp City home during the early hours of Feb. 16 while their two young daughters were elsewhere inside the house.

An Emotional Day in Court

During the second day of testimony, the court heard from the coroner about Ashley’s autopsy and injuries.

The photographs themselves were not displayed to the Miami County courtroom, but the descriptions were enough to produce an emotional reaction. Flynn was seen crying, while several people seated behind him also appeared to struggle with what they were hearing.

The difficult testimony was only one part of a day that also put Flynn’s version of events under scrutiny.

Investigators Question the Alleged Break-In

Flynn initially told authorities that an intruder had entered the family home through the garage, shot Ashley and then escaped.

But multiple law-enforcement witnesses testified that evidence at the property caused them to question that account.

Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation crime scene technician Holly Ryczek told jurors that she found no signs of forced entry on the garage door or the home’s other entrances.

She explained that forced entry typically leaves evidence such as marks from kicking, prying or other physical force. In this case, she testified, she saw no such damage on the outside of the garage door.

“The only damage was on the inside,” Ryczek told the court.

Another investigator offered an even more significant assessment.

Ohio BCI specialist David Hammond testified that he had initially searched the property for evidence consistent with a burglary or forced entry. By the end of his examination, however, he said his concern was that the scene represented “a homicide staged as a burglary.”

That conclusion directly challenges the account Flynn has maintained.

However, the defense pushed back during cross-examination.

Attorney L. Patrick Mulligan questioned whether investigators could definitively determine when certain damage to the garage door occurred. He also raised the possibility that someone could have picked the lock without leaving the type of evidence investigators expected to find.

Hammond acknowledged that he could not determine when the exterior damage occurred and was unaware of a test that could establish whether the lock had been picked.

Flynn continues to deny the allegations against him, and the prosecution’s case remains before the jury. The investigators’ testimony represents evidence presented by the state, not a determination of guilt.

Prosecutors are expected to continue presenting witnesses as the trial moves forward.
