Meghan Markle has shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to Prince Harry, offering a glimpse into the family’s life in Britain just one day after news broke that Archie and Lilibet had been moved to a new school.

Harry turns 42 on Tuesday, September 15, marking his first birthday in England since the couple left the UK six years ago.

Meghan’s birthday tribute was posted shortly after it emerged that Archie and Lilibet had been moved to another school only days after the beginning of term.

The decision was reportedly linked to concerns about the practical security arrangements surrounding the children’s school journey, rather than dissatisfaction with the school itself.

A source told HELLO! Magazine that the children had enjoyed the school and that the family had hoped to make the arrangement work. However, the source said the security team ultimately could not make the daily school run “operationally secure.”

Traffic was reportedly among the difficulties contributing to the decision.

The move has drawn renewed attention to the security challenges facing Harry and Meghan as they spend more time in Britain.

Harry’s Security Remains Under Review

The school change comes against the backdrop of continuing discussions over Harry’s security arrangements in the UK.

The Sussexes stepped back as senior working members of the Royal Family in January 2020, announcing plans to become financially independent while dividing their time between the UK and North America.

At the Sandringham Summit that followed, the late Queen Elizabeth II ruled out the couple adopting a part-time royal role. King Charles is understood to have maintained that position.

Their children’s school move also came shortly after a reported meeting of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures, known as RAVEC, which is responsible for decisions concerning royal security.

Harry is currently awaiting the outcome of a fresh threat assessment by the Risk Management Board, while RAVEC is expected to consider whether the Sussex family should qualify for taxpayer-funded security while living in Britain.
