Cookie Queens, executive-produced by Harry and Meghan, opened to roughly $328,000 from 446 U.S. theaters, while CatVideoFest 2026 earned about $569,000 from just 255 screens.

OPINION – CAROLE MALONE: And now we have the proof!

CAROLE MALONE Meghan and King Charles

Surprise surprise – yet another of Meghan’s big projects has flopped. This time it’s a film called Cookie Queens which is about America’s Girl Scouts. The film grossed a piddling £257,000 in its opening weekend. In the same week a film called Catfest, which is just a load of cat clips, pulled in £500,000.

Conclusion? America’s done with her. I’m guessing this will mean more overtures to the King about them coming back here? Brace yourselves…

More Net Zero lunacy – taxpayers have had to cough up £1B so far this year for the cost of turning off wind turbines when the electricity grid can’t cope with an excess of energy. By next year that’s set to be £3.2B.

And Ed Miliband the man responsible for all this havoc – is STILL in government.

Explain this, Nicole

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman says she didn’t care that marrying Tom Cruise might mean sacrificing her own career: “People said this is really going to affect your career. I said, I don’t care. I’m in love. Of course I’ll throw my career away.”

Which sounds lovely and romantic. But Nicole forgets to say that in the 10 years she was married to Cruise she made SEVEN blockbuster movies, three of them with him. Where exactly was the sacrifice?

He doesn’t get it

When Restore’s Rupert Lowe said he’d be willing to do a deal with Reform one of his conditions was that Farage sack Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick.

But Lowe has refused to sack Restore’s co-founder, Charlie Downes, who has been accused of anti-semitism saying Farage had been “bought” by Jews.

Lowe ludicrously says: “If Reform want to discuss policy not personality, they know where to find me.”

He clearly doesn’t get the irony or the hypocrisy.

Give it a rest

Charlene White

Give it a rest, Charlene! (Image: Getty)

Former BBC newsreader Jan Leeming took to Twitter this week saying she thought ITV’s Charlene White had a condescending way of speaking to viewers and “doesn’t hack it as a newsreader.”

I agree with her. I’ve long believed White’s talents are overrated. But clearly White is a sensitive flower who can’t take criticism and shot back at Jan: “In an industry where women, especially black women, have to work incredibly hard to get ahead, this type of disrespect from a fellow female journo feels like something from a bygone era.”

Translated that ageist dig means – she’s old and doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

And why did White have to mention the fact she’s black in a spat that was about her news reading abilities NOT her skin colour. I’m betting she knew it would unleash a tsunami of vile abuse on the 84-year-old – which it did.

White needs to understand it’s not disrespectful to say someone isn’t great at their job – it’s an opinion which we’re all allowed to have. And she surely can’t believe that being black should make her immune to criticism?

She also needs to stop moaning about how hard it’s been for her. It was a damn sight harder in Jan Leeming’s day for women to be newsreaders than it is now.

More lunacy from Labour’s barmy army

It turns out that Labour’s barmy environmental policies on rewilding – which allows nature to look after itself without human interference – may be responsible for many of the wildfires that have ravaged the country.

Farmers and gamekeepers used to carry out controlled burning of heathers and grasses in the winter months, but Red Ed and his mob said “No No No – let Mother Nature thrive.” The result is a huge build-up of dry vegetation just waiting to catch fire. And it has. Everywhere!

Seriously?

Andy Burnhan’s solution to stopping the wildfires? He wants to ban the sale of disposable BBQs.

Yep, Andy lad – that’ll do it.

How indeed…

In their never-ending game of tit for tat Vanessa’s ex, Ben Ofoedu, has hit back at her dig about how “it was a big fat bore being Mummy to a hulking great adult”.

Ofoedu retaliated saying Vanessa had emasculated him, verbally abused him and made him feel small.

“I think to myself how did I put up with that for 17 years.”

How indeed? Maybe the money, the showbiz perks (courtesy of Vanessa) AND the fact he was living a five-star lifestyle he could never afford was a factor?

Not nearly enough!

A new study says young people working from home are lonely. Yes, well a lot of us said they would be. But they’re clearly not lonely enough to get out of their jim jams and into the office.

Think again, Andy

Andy Burnham wants to put more migrants in middle class areas – to spread the pain. He’s not getting this is he? We want him to solve the problem not share the pain.
