Through The Royal Foundation, William and Catherine have various initiatives – both joint and separately. They have Catherine’s Early Years programme for young children, William’s Homewards project aimed at ending rough sleeping, as well as United for Wildlife, which was a venture that launched last year to combat illegal animal trafficking.

The Royal Foundation has operated entirely independently from the Earthshot Prize since 2022, with Earthshot previously established “to find, support and celebrate those who turn bold ideas into real solutions to repair our planet.”

The Earthshot Prize previously reported a total income of £23.5million for 2024.

This figure showed a 68% surge in donations, rising from £12.8million to £21.4million.

As for Meghan and Harry, Archewell Philanthropies was rebranded from its previous name, the Archewell Foundation, in late 2025.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been feuding with the royals for a number of years, visited the UK last month.
