Netflix’s latest true-crime documentary has viewers questioning just how well they really know the person living next door.

The opening episode of Netflix’s “Worst Neighbor Ever” centers on a quiet Kentucky neighborhood where a long-running dispute between neighbors ended in tragedy.

The documentary follows Shawna and David Scott, whose relationship with former friend Frances Zaayer unraveled after she moved into a home across the street.

What started as an ordinary neighborhood disagreement steadily escalated through years of confrontations, police involvement, and mounting tension.

Despite repeated efforts to resolve the conflict, the situation reached a devastating breaking point when Zaayer forced her way into the couple’s home in 2018.

David was killed in the attack, while Shawna survived after being critically injured.

Through interviews with those closest to the case and archival footage, the documentary examines how a seemingly peaceful residential street became the setting for one of the country’s most shocking neighbor disputes.
