Haven’t we seen you before? BGT finalist sails through to X Factor bootcamp
BRITAIN is clearly running out of Talent, as a BGT finalist has sailed through auditions for The X Factor.
Ex-Luminites singer Steph Edwards will now be put through her paces at Bootcamp after being plucked by producers to sing for Simon Cowell again.
She finished fifth on BGT in 2013 with the vocal harmony group, and they went on to release a single with Sony, which Simon’s label Syco is part of.
However, Luminites split earlier this year after their track Do Something bombed in the charts.
X Factor bosses then encouraged Steph to audition for the show, as Simon had previously described her as “a star”.

A source told The Sun: “It’s the first time a BGT finalist has appeared on The X Factor.
“During auditions he told her she was brave to pick herself up after a knock and said she could be a star. She got four yeses and the audience went crazy. It’s bound to arouse more suspicions about how real the audition process is.
“Clearly she didn’t just walk off the street and audition. Her rival contestants are also already worried that she’ll be given special treatment.”
